Questions of Life
When all our days have been counted
and all our dreams lived
could we hope for anything more
than to be loved?
If every bright star was a cherished wish
would we gather them up or let them stay
for all to see
Would feeling each others tears in our palms
cause us to sense the passing of time?
As a visitor, time cannot be touched or sustained
rather we move through unnoticed
drawing strength from one another
without question or guilt
Would we have already seen heaven
before our life's final breath
echos in the chamber of our heart
as we cross our time in this world
in the arms of those we love?
