Queen of Heather

As one walks the wooded road The arches of foliage intricate like the mind Beautify the forest path The nearby rushes bring tear to my eye There is something serene about them Something mysterious Something that puts soul on fire A burning desire Like the one that I feel When I look at lovers eyes Forest is sometimes young lad Sometimes wise old man But today it is a beautiful lady Or actually two One is a scent of the meadow The nectar of flowers The taste of honey The soul of amber With lively green eyes Like grass This is spring The other is little bit older But no less beautiful With colorful leaves She lives in the wind Murmuring in those rushes Her eyes are violet Like heather Which you can smell When near the lake Smell awakens your spirit But there is more Air grows dense Above the lake Mist appears With spellbinding mystique When child spring was the favorite With sent of nectar turning to honey Green eyes full of energy and life Fall on the other hand Was when school starts And kids not always Look forward to it I not always did But it is fall With smell of heather That awakens the soul With azure sky Melting With gentle ripples of the lake Dense air sending its scent From the abyss That opens the portal Of mathematical nirvana Looking even behind the hand Writing the laws of universe And it is it The scent of heather During fall night And the deepest night Becomes light on the dark side Of the moon Salvation Awakening deepest reaches of your soul
