I reached out my hand to you
The sunflowers burst with smiles
You knew the reason for tears I cried
You’ve walked with me for miles
Your soul is like a shining gem
Endearing you always are to me
I can hold you with an open heart
For the distance in the sea of serenity
You gently reached to take my hand
As the white daisies danced along
To the music of our happy laughter
With your heartbeat in a song
Beating together along with mine
Across the meadow with grace
Parting soft grass in a path of memories
In the flowers of Queen Ann’s Lace
We knew how to make the day our own
From shiny dew drops to warm sunshine
Along shimmering brooks with cheer
Each time no other like this so fine
Private talks in cozy pine needle coves
We shared all we found in new ways
Leaving love messages in the sky
As if we parachuted into the days
Blissful, playful, each breath of fresh air
Floating in our everlasting love to be
Landing on the field’s open dance floor
As music plays our song through eternity
