Quarantine Sonata:- March 17th, 2020 - Day 1: My Freedom, My Cage

My little room had started to cage me, The doors have closed shut, But the little window was kept open To see the leaves bustling, Winds flowing Birds chirping The sun burning bright. The weather had turned pleasant After long wintry days and nights, But the doors were bolted, And just a window kept open, To take in the agreeable weather. News around the world reached me though More explanations cut to be confined, This was the definition of my liberty now, And I had my right to choose To be caged. K.S.Lakshmi
