Quaint Pavement Shop
I rushed through the door on electric impulse initiated,
for the sunlight within taunting sunlight without a test
feeling forceful inner cry with supreme yen today especially though,
but of the joyful variety which is challenging and a spur,
a momentum turning that will not be rejected possess me,
into seconds savoured for a diary of my experience yet to come,
what to relish, what to ignore isn’t a trivial matter,
I have this quaint established shop to visit as priority,
it’s just one of the things on a cluttered calendar I must heed,
why haven’t I spent extra time is an anomaly methinks,
not just browsing but buying daily necessities too,
a hurried breakfast as impetus and prompt a first choice,
there is this major unfilled urge I can’t curb this moment,
or is it I stubbornly refuse to control at least now,
as if I were an athlete on a practice run for contests,
at the utmost speed possible if I can at such events,
the magic of the opportune moment is driving me,
mindful of fellow citizens whom I greet when,
an extremely early start for the diversion planned,
the weather has an inspiring look for this special treat,
familiar faces wished me fabulous fortune as I ran,
the distance between my home and this shop of enormous interest,
didn’t somehow daunt me not at this point as anticipated,
when the human spirit is firmly enthused as mine can be,
immense tasks can be fulfilled at the most unthinkable speed,
the objective and it’s attainment are an ample just reward,
at last I reached this charming vegetable shop I
missed out visiting recently,
vegetables among many other features including hospitable staff members,
they were delighted to acknowledge my presence in their premises,
we shared so many, many pleasantries for a considerable amount of time,
I noticed that the morning was rather remarkably sluggish for business,
however maybe my custom which is quite large today brought additional clientele,
If that was due to effort and outlay because I happened, to be supporting smaller shopping units,
then a hearty ripple and a broad smile would be appropriate,
the freshness of the produce on display was always a factor for me,
staff who were extraordinarily cordial and spotless clean floors added to this place
without the scintilla of hesitation I filled my shopping bags with such utter glee,
I queried to myself this inconvenient question why I postponed,
a form of purchase which partially based on immediate human intake,
partially based on a planet rescue motif
took such eternities to complete
