Purple Clouds

When dusky, purple clouds cross the restless sky,
the angry moon frowns with whispered sigh.
Darkened storms threaten to weep,
discouraging sleep
where dreamers
lie.
Star streamers
stare and proudly peep,
promising soft light will sweep
welcome diversion to weary eye
when dusky, purple clouds cross the restless sky.
