Pull-Out Couches

Our apartment has one bedroom
And 900 feet of space,
But that is where our festive meal,
This year, was taking place.

As we cleaned and cooked, preparing
For the dinner and before,
We knew there would be a special treat
For all of us in store.

Both our grandkids would stay over
When our son and wife would leave,
Sharing sleep space on the sofa,
Not too crazy to believe.

While our daughter, too, would join us
On another pull-out couch,
All attesting to their comfort
To which each of them would vouch.

With one bathroom, we all managed;
We had fun and no one griped.
It was wonderful, for sure,
But now they’re home and I am wiped!

It sounds like so much fun. Couches that pull out are better than blow up mattress, I think. Can you imagine a big pillow fight on a your pullout couch? It sounds like it would be fun to be part of that night, even though I'm not family. Such a nice poem. I'm glad I found.

That is cozy. Makes me wonder if you inherited a cheap rent controlled apartment.

I used to have a couch that opened to a full size bed when I had my first dachshund.I left him alone one day in the apartment. When I returned from shopping he had removed all the batting from the three pillows! The room liked it had been hit by a snowstorm! The couch totally ruined. Never got another one. / Maurice
