Prophecy

I look into forever And I'm blinded by the pain Of visions of an always That never hears your name. A lifetime spent without you Is all I see in store -- With painful days outside your eyes -- And constant heartache evermore. I see familiar faces -- Which once were filled with love -- Their tear-filled eyes reflecting A dying, wounded dove. Reality surrounds me As I wake up in today To find our love eternal Has, somehow, lost its way. I see emptiness inside me Telling me you're gone -- So, I look outside tomorrow For strength to carry on. And, as tomorrow fades Into a yesterday, I see a love, inside my heart, That just won't fade away.

It is hard to hold a love that is unreturned or lost, it scorches our very souls and can leave a hollow husk where our hearts once lived. Very powerful imagery here. You have talent.
