Promise To Appear

Oh, my fairest love, let me make my plea, As I stand, yet again, before your court. The charge brought 'fore me will not have me flee, For, this time, survival's not guilt to sort, Your judgement's all that's considered of worth. These hued garments, my Sunday best, I wear, "All the colours of the rainbow..." Noah's Earth. 'Pon my own rhyme, I will be true, I swear, Like some December David, I'm now lean. No more, no more of all this quiet dark, Your Truth, your Beauty will have me come clean, It's for you, just you, that my heart shall hark. Oh please, I will answer your test, my dear, Soon Now, I'll keep my promise to appear.
