Progression

Guess I’m gonna find way Through these streets of hate There’s love in the air Longing to be found Too many times we find ourselves On the brink of equality Sit around alone at night Pondering what freedom means Progression not oppression I think that’s where we should be now A thousand years of sorrow You think by now we’d understand What it means to be human What it means to be free What it means to forgive What it is to love When we gonna realize That a person is just that Some one who’s alive & well Just like you yourself Too many times we find ourselves On the brink of equality Sit around alone at night Pondering what freedom means Progression not oppression I think that’s where we should be now A thousand years of sorrow You think by now we’d understand
