Prisoner In a House of Shame

Sticks and stones, may break your bones But names, can build hatred
The pain, grows inside Happiness subsides Leading towards, my demise Not a surprise, with all the lies No need, to cry or say goodbye
We all lose, in the end Unable to defend Lets not pretend There's no way, to mend We set the trend Once a friend Now there's no bend
Forever a stain, on my heart Like a work of art
You've become a stranger Thanks to the anger Everyday, getting sadder and madder Feels like, the loves been gone forever Cant even remember The good times, we shared together Does it even matter With all the chatter Just waiting, for my heart to shatter That's when, it will be served to you on a platter As the blood splatters Will pretend, your the queen and I'm the mad hatter

Very well written poem, Jeremy. It feels like a poem about a love gone wrong, and a lot of pain.
