PRINCIPLE IN RIPPLES

A firm believer he was In virtue, he found grace— Never strayed from the path Temptation met with prayer Holding fast to his faith. Then came the union Bound to a leech A marriage of demand Where every inch cost millions And ends could no longer meet. Like a poor tailor He found himself short— Unable to make life's fabric fit He became a cheat A man undone by his own hands. Corruption took root As lies piled high with each bribe Those fervent principles Once firm, now shattered Like the frayed hem of shorts Rippling into nothing.
