Prince of the Power of the Air
(Woe to Ariel: Nuclear Armageddon)

Faith caught me praying for the Evening Star
(My Lord, afar). In my state of worship,
I did not shed my tears aloud because
Men stood to face Yahweh with sinking eyes
(In them, God’s love was unfound); hence, their hearts
Did resound with cursing psalms for nations
With felled bloody kings and godless damned souls;
For souls who stir the mortal sins foretold
To Daniel by the mouth of God; souls bound
By unseen fetters and demonic things,
Where warlords make peace through unholy wars
That destroy Israel with heartless flames!

Oh, wind-songs and wind-songs of whispered pains!
Satan’s rebellious kingdoms have no brains,
Nor mere reasoning to declare them sound;
For this brood dwells in Hatred’s rotted head—
The most grounded men wasted by maggots
(Since rogue atoms riddled Man with cancer),
While Yahweh stood mute amid the strong vibe
Of wind-piped nukes watching peculiar-heirs
Piss on atomic rocks, with their wasted,
Malign cocks. Ariel! Oh, Ariel!
Of humankind’s atomic clouds, beware:
Mists bear the carnage of the toxic air!
