Pride of Place--Revised
Bob holds his tattered Travis to his chest.
He was Bob's pet. Now--stuffed--he's still the best!
Bob’s parents, at wit’s end, make this request:
“He’s old. Let him retire!” but Bob’s obsessed.
He counters, “I start soon at my new school.
I’ll take him too. They’ll all think he’s WAY cool!”
“They won’t!” said Mom. “They’ll think you are a fool.
Since you’re the principal, some might be cruel.”
