President Calvin Coolidge

'Tis well known that "Silent Cal" Coolidge was a man of very few words!

He considered that long conversations and inane babble was for the birds!

A lady bet if she could elicit more than two words from him it would make news.

He mulled over her challenge for a few minutes and replied, "You lose!"

Hah! The "loser" wins. Love your humor and really admire your knowledge of American history, Bob. Which of these beauties are you entering in the contest? You can't "lose" with any of them! Love, Carolyn

GREAT ONE!!!! You captured his essence to the T!! The guy of few words that's for sure! I know one thing, the state of the Union Address wouldn't have been so long winded and boring if he were givin' it! Gotta write my State of Dis-union Address for posting tomorrow..Gwendolen
