Preludes
I believe we had more fun,
When I used to sit and wait.
For you to sneak out again,
For a nightly moonlit date.
Those were the good old days,
That my heart happily longs for.
The summer days at the ocean,
Slowly kissing by the shore.
Now that we’re fully grown,
You still give my eye a twinkle.
Marriage is good but can’t compare,
To the preludes of love and wrinkles.
