Precious Petal

From all the precious petals,
adorning my flower garden -
I choose only you.

In silent serene ambience,
your splendour is visible,
through an innocent grandeur.

Captivated by your tender satin aura,
I desire for each blossom to embrace me -
to be caressed by your lusciousness.

But resentful weeds bark like dogs,
their envious eyes deviously praying -
for storms to expose your delicateness.

I know gusts will arrive and abduct you.
Powerless, I will watch you float away -
but I know you will return, you always do

even if it is just temporary.

These majestic blossoms last just a few weeks during the Spring, but I do understand how you chose this one from all else. We had three fruit trees in our house that we sold and i couldn't wait for Spring to feel their adoring embrace. Well penned SO stay safe and well. Blessings, Jennifer.

Transient is the word that comes to mind. Your words convey a trusting nature and a great appreciation for beauty. Excellent. As a side note: While not in my backyard, my neighborhood sure is showing a lot of wonderful color lately (are these pictures of your actual flower garden?)

Japan's national flower is a cultural icon revered around the world not just for its stunning beauty, but for its expression of life, death and renewal. You Si, have captured the life of the cherry blossom tree beautifully in this poem, as luscious as the blossoms that bloom and fade and come again.....Maria Hugs

I really love this because it reminds me of my back yard which is full of flower gardens. Here in Alberta we get powerful winds sometimes and even hail that will devastate the gardens and I plant my favorite flowers on the side of the house where the wind and hail can't reach them. Love the pic of the flowering tree here. great job. God Bless, JB

Spring blossoms are awesome, but only last until our late August early September winds come and blow them away until next Spring. Jealous weeds do sprout through but I am quick to pull them out. Blessings Jennifer well penned SO

They sure are beautiful to see this time of year, their beauty is shortlived when the wind takes them like a summer snowfall. Tom
