They slip right through your fingers
Precious moments that breath
Enlightenment, compassion, insight
Inspiration, melancholy, bravery
Feelings so real and spectacular
They whisper with a gentle appeal
Emotions discovered in a scent
A touch, a frown, a laugh, a light
Emotions filled with love and hope
Musical notes of faith that flows
Through the veins that are flaming
Burning away all dread and pain
These moments come alive and survive
The days of darkness and distress
They offer rays of happiness
And prayers of faithfulness
Found within a smile
Lighting the eyes
The moment when a tear falls
Bouncing softly against naked flesh
Filling the heart with emotional angst
The moment when the scent awakens
A heart to the aroma of freshness
Experienced after the rain falls
The moment when a flower opens it’s petals
Giving way to a bloom so fresh and impressive
Expressing joy that is such a brilliant treasure
The moment when you awake and feel
The warmth that holds such an appeal
When you are breathing the air of dawn
The moment when the scent of freshly mown
Grass erases all smell of the winter past
Which wishes to bring out its dismal twist
The moment when crackling leaves are gone
And the winter comes through the morn
To beckon to the spirit with a killing frost
The moment when love is there on a face
Welcoming you into a sweet embrace
Where you feel so loved and accepted
The moment when you’ve read a great poem
And nothing feels more important
Than sharing it with your best friend
It is this moment – when joy rides the wind
That you’re free to believe in the senses
Who bring such inspirational completion
With blessings, I wish you more moments
To complete you!
