White lace and red velvet

Butter cream icing that pleases the palate Her sugar high’s taller than the four-tiered cake Will this one do? She has to cast a ballot As another sweet mouthful our bride must take Ahhh, red velvet cake, so moist, freshly made Delectable milk chocolate between layers Eat the figures on top; don’t be afraid All smiles are these candy bride and groom players On sugar she flies from one cake to the next Stopping only to admire their shape But it’s the red velvet cake with “love” in text From this choice the young bride can't escape Angel cake might seem more appropriate With layers as white as her new wedding dress But enthusiasm it cannot create For the rich taste of velvet it doesn’t possess

What a lovely, tasty poem this is, Carolyn! Yours is a delightfully tempting offering...hard to resist! I'll be honest...I love the poem, but not white milky chocolate; I much prefer an old-fashioned fruit cake; as for chocolate give me dark ones anytime! Hugs // paul

Dark chocolate is better for us, Paul. Milk chocolate is a lighter shade of brown and tastes sweet.

Creative work..From what they show on TV really fancy weddings call for many decisions and tasting many foods before the reception is finally set..Thanks for the visits to my page..Sara
