We pray to Thee, our Prince of Peace for war's aggression soon to cease. We plead with Thee, O King of kings to thwart each new plan evil brings. We pray for mercy on the ones who hear and fear the bombs and guns, for your protecting hand, O God, for wives and children sent abroad. For those who take up arms to fight against invasion's rampant might, endue with valor night and day and may their missile's aim not stray. Please keep Zelenskyy's mind astute, sustain his courage resolute. For all who suffer, give relief - compassion to those drenched in grief. Give hope to all, O God of love, for thy eternal rest above. To him who chose the tyrant's way, bring holy fear of Judgment Day. "I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth" ~ Psalm 121:1-2

John, I am reading all that you have posted. You are the bar I am hoping to rise to. I, as many others did, wrote a poem of this mindless waste in Ukraine. Your words are very heartfelt. You are a brilliant poet. Graham

Very moving, John, and I thank you immensely for the posting as my mother's parents were born in the Ukraine. For mum (in her 100th year) this brutal war on the Ukraine has brought her much grief. The evening news is almost unwatchable. Prayers for peace are always welcomed. Sincerely, Brian

Brian, I was very touched by your comment. It must be so hard to see her grieving. There is so much to be saddened by because of the insanity of this invasion ~ John

One thing I think on, is no conflict brings peace Yet they seem to abound, in the name ir aim of Getting a lasting peace.' Are we missing out on Something.? (Maybe the truth?) Then there is The banning of open air preaching of the Bible Is that happening at the same time society's Are crumbling.? Or is it just my wild imagination? We need God's Love, for the cold Embrace of rationaliszing within materialism is And has failed.'

This is such a fervent prayer, John. Everyone around the world should be praying similar thoughts, asking that God bestow faith in those effected, so they may endure. The heartache and hardships suffered has lasted three months too long. I read your supplication and whispered, "Amen."

What Putin has unleashed is beyond reprehensible. I pray not only for the war to quickly end, but for the endurance of those suffering, and for justice to be applied to those guilty, if not in this life, then in the next. Thank you Jenna, for your comment and for your amen ~ John

Paulette, it is nearly impossible for me to imagine the fear, heartbreak, and terror that the people of an invaded nation must endure. Hope is a powerful antidote; without hope, what does one have in such a miserable estate? Thank you for reading and for your lovely comment ~ John

Thank you, my friend. You have continued to ring the bell for Ukraine even as the news outlets are moving to other news topics. I've always believed "the battle is the Lord's" and that prayer is as potent a weapon as a rifle or land mine ~ John
