Prayer For the Broken Hearted

                               Softly breathe on weary soul

                      Your breath, my King, Who paid our toll

                        Rest now, Your Hand, on weary head

                       Renewed, in hope, You'll raise the dead

                            Speak, I pray Thee, Father God,

                       A dream of Heaven, of where You Trod

                            Hold the broken, dry the tear,

                        To those who cry, oh meet us here!

                              Softly Jesus, over each head,

                      Your gifts, sweet dreams, upon each bed.

                        Oh, Lord, please lift the gaze to You

                        And gently light the pathway through

                           I pray You lift the broken heart,

                     Of peace, love hope, You would impart.

                        Be with my friends in dark of night,

                   Please hold them Abba, let shine Your Light.

                                              Amen

Kim Rodrigues August 19, 2023 at 6:11 AM So lovely a prayer! So heartfelt. Once one loses someone integral to their life the heart indeed breaks and God’s Spirit holds comfort. I lost some family - grandparents, cousin, aunt, uncle but I didn’t live close though they held my heart…but when Mom died that was a heartbreak. Bj Legros Kelley September 16, 2023 at 10:49 PM It's true Kim, once we lose someone dear to us, we so hold to God's comfort. I too have lost many relatives, my grandparents, uncles, aunts, but when I lost my dad, I became more serious about faith in God. My mom, my beloved Johnny, a cousin who was like a sibling to me when we were little, two sisters and my brother have all passed within the last ten years. I know of so many grappling with such deep loss of late. I can only pray that God reaches out to them right now, wherever they are. This world is so beautiful, but also so sad for so many.

I’m still recovering from the worst trauma in my life, when my husband was seriously ill and I almost lost him twice. My husband scared the wits out of me five years ago, he had a heart attack, and not a little one. To think we could have lost him is horrifying, I was in such shock and terror, I know how you feel. Hugs to you Belle. I am going to pray for you both, pray for my sweetheart too if he comes to your mind. I know the terror, it's so horrible. My heart breaks for the terrible losses some are enduring in their lives right now, our dear Regina McIntosh is one that comes to mind, and on my heart in the loss of her precious SIL. So Very tragic.

It is hard sometimes for to understand that but He never left out side.
