In view of the previous limerick set, could Mel have used dyslexia as a defense....the "I thought she was you excuse?" Anyhow thanks for this view of this disorder. The picture is also a wonderful synopsis. It gives me paws.

clever and funny, Jan. My brother was dyslexic...but it was the 50s and little was done at school to help him. He wrote everything backwards...the only way to read what he wrote was to hold it up to a mirror and read the reflection...mother spent countless, frustrating hours helping to write and see the world as others saw it. I think, though, he was forever changed...never felt as if he fit in...even as an adult. Sorry, I ramble. Enjoyed the humorous read, Sara

I feel for your brother as i agree so little was done to help those who struggled, and now I recall a student at school also wrote backwards . hugs jan xx

Thanks so much for your wonderful comment Daniel:-) I worked with students with learning difficulties for 16 years, one lad was so badly affected with dyslexia but we developed a great working relationship and he left school able to read and was working on a hotel reception - he is a super lad and i was so proud of his achievements:-) hugs jan xx
