Post Meridiem

We met in post meridiem period of life,
Long after our own lives' middays of strife.
We were always meant to rise like the sun,
Always meant to realize how we are one.

We met in post meridiem of our journeys,
Long after our healing placed us at ease.
We learned how we are meant to please
Each other in ways that are beyond a tease.

We met in post meridiem of our first day,
And in a moment I knew it is for you I'll stay.
You are my sun piercing through sky so gray.
I am your moon gently brightening your way.

We met in post meridiem of our evolution.
Before we met, I figured out the conclusion.
I seen beyond the world's divisive illusion.
I found you: one worthiest of my devotion.
