Positive
I look at my mother with tears in her eyes
As she pleads with me to truly understand
Please stop with your vices she persists and demands
I laugh in her face and back out the door once more
I fancy my life I laugh at the rest
Who think toiling and studying is what's best
I have my youth at my side, my beauty is my strength
I do what I want, my life in pleasure must be spent
I look at my mother with tears in her eyes
As she pleads with the doctor to help me stand
She has AIDS he responds, the tests came back
That is why all this strength I so lack
I live my life with ART's now, two years have past
Knowledge I impart to the young at heart
I deeply regret all the chioces I made
But I cannot go back it is far too late
So I talk to the teens and the youth I guide now
And tell them all about the dangers I would vow
I explain all the repercussions of my lack of self control
So stay away from drugs, and only do good and uphold
Stay true to yourself, I tell them enthusiastically
For positivity and abstinance results in HIV negativity
