Posing As Contradictions
just when she proudly posed as a puffing magic dragonette
the bubble burst and a shiny sword punctured vulnerable skin
pierced the façade and made her reveal true person and posture
I can’t hold this together without compromise
a circle to be squared with fumes of empty promise and hope
the hypothenuse of her losses overreaching angles and peace
soft blows and hard landings suspended in juxtaposed forces
why does my pantomime shout out its charades
a helium balloon flying sky high at boiling point of no return
she was stuck in an underworld of synchronicity and paradox
in which she was a comedian in a tragic sequence of events
my trajectory knows no beginning and no end
a trapeze stuck into mud with no strings attached she levitated
upside down to drink from the source and depth of her reckoning
only to find out that her centre was on the vast margin of errors
I am placed concentrically with overlap at the same time
she ate her cake in order to have it like a pie chart of yeast
prayed to the gods of eccentricity and denounced every faith
if only she was like a cat simultaneously grinning in place over time
Eureka I’m floating on drowning waters of doubt
collocated truncated the proximity of contrast and sameness faded
into a tautology of overblown meaning and obsequious liberation
eventually her shooting star rose to the canopy of loose foundations
a parallel universe will allow me to be skewed
when she puffed once more she became a dolphin riding the desert
a sand fly drying her wings in undercurrents and crested sea shores
and her inner glow worm defeated serpentine diameters of pain
at the destination of my starting I am no longer a contradiction
