My father was not fond of cats, but Poshpaws follwed him around the house and would sit by his side when he was working in the garden then curl up on his knee in the house - we were all devastated when she was knocked down by a car

Aw, sad poem. Animals have their way with us, don't they? I have always had dogs before now. I have a kitty that came to me, a feral, and now king of the family room! He isn't feral anymore, well, too much anyway, he is such a precious joy to me.

Jan, a nicely penned sad senryu poem. It's funny when people claim to not like pets and then fall in love with them. My grandmother was like that too. -hugs
