Portrait of Pardon

A harsh, unkind word tumbles out, maybe three, frustrations are voiced and we just can't agree. The day becomes silent - the hours grow long, sleep is elusive with feelings still strong. One of us crosses the river called Worry building the bridge that begins with "I'm sorry". Humility blossoms the flower of embrace, painting a portrait of pardon and grace.

Hi John hope you are well. A powerful write but how true you speak one must come forward with I'm sorry and then a loving embrace. It is the bandaid needed as when your child first fall, or tray of tea for two with a chocolate offered ss an olive branch with an I'm sorry . Stupid squabbles that erupt into a big argument. Pride must never come in the way here .Hope Christas snd New Year tonight were blessed and fun both together. Hugs and best wishes for 2024 my friend Jennifer

It shouldn’t matter who puts the first plank down in building that bridge. Gideon valued peace more than pride and so should we. “Humility blossoms the flower of embrace.” Yes it does, John. You’ve written a good reminder.

Some times that's all it takes to repair broken bridges, those two words, I'm sorry, Tom
