Poor Dan Owl

a limerick using palindromes

Ole Dan - Mr. Owl ate my metal worm,
deep down inside its weight has settled firm.
     Poor Dan is in a droop;
     it’s hard to take a poop.
The Doc says lots of Coke may help long-term.

Thanks, Joseph, Limerick add humor and satire to our world. Appropriate for celebrating our Irish heritage within the US.

Reason, a fun and creative one. Congratulations on your first place win. We had the same idea about the poop, haha.

What else can a poet do with poop? Have a bit of fun at no one's expense in particular. Thanks, Tania.

Combining the two palindromes and limericks was a clever contest theme. I thank you for commenting as usual.
