Ponds Edge

One, two
Spirits
Entwined
Side by side
Alone
Yet together
Not identical
Fraternal
Reflections
Images floating
Starry skies
Pond leaves
Debris
Covers
Bright colors
Masking Intentions
Rain falling
Uncovering
Veins of love
Stem to tip
Floating
Stopping
Pond's edge
Embracing

Kathleen, so lovely, this. There is a lot hiding in its simplicity. I'm glad you took me to this quiet spot. Beautiful in its brevity. Cheers!

Thanks so much, John. I'm so glad you found it meaningful. Your comment is very poetic in itself. I'm not always conscious of the well from which these wirds arise, Yet that may be true of most writing? I've been spending my time on a writing class lately. Hope to post more soon. How are you? I seem to remember your saying that you are working on several...

From a very early age I found our local field ponds to be totally mesmerizing! Bright rings of filtered water dazzling with entrapped jewels of glinting sunlight: Cooling havens with their elusive fish and lazing lilly beds...Ahhh happy days indeed! Loved this, Kathleen...Brought childhood memories flooding back! My warmest regards...And all my very best wishes. Your friend - john. :)
