Pondering the Future

Sometimes my mind wanders into the distant future, Long after I will have departed from this vale of tears And I ponder the problems my generation has created Which we are leaving for our grandchildren to solve. I consider the advancements in computer technology During my lifetime, and wonder how far it might go, Whether in one hundred years robots will be in charge Humans will be slaves, perhaps, no longer in demand, Expendable commodities, with many clones of a genus Then I think, perhaps, I have completely lost my mind. written June 23, 2021

A frightening thought Milton, theyre already developing robots that can think for themselves, yes but only on a small scale for now, hope they build in a safeguard in case things go wrong. Tom

Sorry to say but I must be frank and state you have indeed lost your mind. Who thinks so much ahead of future. My son is like you, literally living in future, I tell him future doesn't exist. Your ending made me laugh for I don't think beyond tomorrow. Please stop thinking about future and enjoy the present. Enjoy your day ahead friend.

Oh, I certainly enjoy the present, Rama, but sometimes I think we all have some thoughts about what life might be like in the distant future. It's a normal thing. Thanks for your fine comments.
