Your words speak truth, Gershon, but it's really a shame that most of the politicians residing in our country are now defined by others as being corrupt. We do need a complete overhaul of both parties in Washington DC.

You're so right, a complete overhaul...Then again, we'd get a mix of Donald Trumps, Oprah Winfreys, Dennis Pragers, Jesse Jacksons, and other such self-appointed experts on everything---whom Putin, Xi, Kim Jong Un, et al would EAT ALIVE. It would be our minnows against their sharks. Perhaps the abominables we've got are better than the abominables we'd get...And so it goes... :) gw

By the power not vested in me as the Not-so-Wise-Man-of-Oz, I hereby duly anoint your comment, most unofficially and completely unscientifically, as: THE COMMENT OF THE DAY - aka COD *sigh*

Very thought-provoking poem, Gershon. Deep ruminations bubbling to the surface. Mighty fine poetry. Love and joy always.

Yup. Bubble, bubble, toil and trouble. Politics -- the art of the double bubble-cross. LOL. Thank you, Freddie, for the read and the write. Joy to you, my friend. ~Gershon

Yes, sometimes there is...Since my childhood, five Illinois governors have received long prison sentences. Rod Blagoevich, in fact, is still serving the last 1/2 of a 14-year sentence which three separate appeals have not persuaded the State Supreme Court to reduce. Appreciate the visit, Michelle! :)
