Politics 2023

Pockets Of Wealth:
In my left
a president

not one
by God sent

In my right
a congress,

not one will
ever confess

In my back, 
left or right
the same, day
or night, could 
not tell
a difference
if only by sight

could not tell 
by ear – though different
appealing promises,
both falsely speaking
year after year

can definitely tell
by all they do,
and not what they say – 
the same sulfur smell

for all demagogues 
having one foot
already in hell – 

a little grease here
a little grease there

throw a feast here
throw a feast there...

mindset far away
from the needle's eye,
from the camel and his
desert~ elite tables' main
focus that of more 
prime rib and
succulent pheasant....

I am nothing, not married to any party, though of Conservative leaning convictions. Gold toilets? Try and get a voice in any nation, without lots of financial support. Try and get a paycheck from someone without finances, unless it is a government paycheck which comes from The People, who worked long painful hours and paid their fair share of taxes. Login to Reply

Joe Dimino Date: 1/6/2023 6:56:00 AM – not one arrested on the sixth, that I am aware of, has been charged with so much as carrying a pea-shooter into the Capital building, – the only weapon used was by capital police to shoot down an unarmed woman. Joe Dimino Date: 1/6/2023 6:51:00 AM How many here advocating for the downtrodden of this world have actually put in 10 hr, unpaid-for days, to support such communities, as I have. For many years. Working nights to support myself. Little sleep. I do not advocate violence of any sort. Honestly don't know a conservative who does. If you do, advise them against it. It is wrong. Nor when I comment on thieves and murderers do I mention minorities in the same breath. I don't even entertain such a horrid thought in my mind. I cannot speak for all 70 million, but the neighbors, friends and relatives I know, who voted for him, almost all feel that the election was stolen, and that they were denied their constitutional right, that of helping to choose one's own government representatives, the hallmark of a Democratic Republic. These are not conspiracy theorist. These are hard working, tax paying, average citizens. What do we have now in Trump's stead? 200,000 US Citizens dead from fentanyl poisoning. Cities ravaged by theft and murder. And a war in Europe killing thousands of innocence. Take the blinders from your eyes. You are being lied to, made fools of. Login to Reply

This poem is about greed and selfishness. Abuse of power. Am I to assume that, all Canadians are bullies and potential dictators because of acts of Trudeau? Am I to assume that all Canadians are drug addicts and potential murderers because of the attack on Paul Pelosi by a Canadian?
