Yes, poetry can save your life
It can tell you things about yourself
You'd otherwise have never known.
But this is true only if
You write the poems yourself.
You don't have to read anyone else's
Foolish poems, just your own,
Unless from the sheer kindness
Of saving their lives and find out
Things about them
You'll wish you didn't know.
