Poetic Wings

poetry contest
in a children's magazine
about the planets
I wrote a galaxy ball
held in the celestial sky

the sun arrived first
followed by all nine planets
wearing fine costumes
published with illustrations
my poetic wings took flight

Lin, I am certain it was a wonderful dance and costume ball. It's nice to remember what got you started on this journey and have a chance to reminisce. You've come a long way since then. You're creating one heck of a set of work in this space!

- I can't remember the title or theme of my first newspaper published poems... many, many years ago (before my first computer)... and they no longer exist... I've moved so many times that they've been lost - Great written, Lin :) - Best wishes in the contest :) - Have a happy weekend :) - hugs
