Blushing hopes whisper
Caressing my mind, my feelings
With echoes of smiles
Brilliant and vibrant
Illuminating my life with laughter
Kindness so wise and strong
It blends joy and faith
With a dusting of love
Starlight twinkles lavender
Healing all sorrows and loss
With words both warm
And eternally glowing
Softening the darkness
With a sense of wispy energy
Music longing for the moment
When all hearts sing and dance
With pleasure that lasts
Hues of a tangerine sun
Melt the dreams hesitations
With miracles in everlasting verse
Poems so alive they vibrate
Drinking liquid words through straws
Created from the afterbirth
Of joy and passion, inspirations
Sparkling so they brighten the heart
Healing, fulfilling, freeing
Teaching through living that affection
Enlightens and thrills, compels
The breath of a shattered tear
To linger on the flesh
Rippling with gestures of grace
These visions prompt my thoughts
To listen to the voice of God
Who knows my depths, my soul
In ways that I can only fathom
Directing me, dissecting me
Coloring me in shadow and light
Prayers so aware they caress me
With songs in scarlet and cobalt
Sighs so gentle they soothe
Even the flickers of sorrow or regret
Captivating the nature of rhymes
Held in the clutches of a art
So heartening it betrays the crusty
Clutching of a massive moon
Who wants to awaken the truth
Found inside one who knows
Affection flows from the dewy
Petals of a rose who blooms
Promises and praises, prayers
Spent within the empty pages
Of a lonely pen who is mending
Even the haunting nightmares
Of one who listens and stills
Their thoughts for a moment
When the Poet’s hands are tied
