Plunging Into the Pool of Love
Everyday I'm glad to greet
The yummy and special treat
I am so lucky to find
It is still blowing my mind
How lucky my big day was
When my heart made quite a fuss
Wanting you by me forever
I can't believe I took the plunge
With a deep and final lunge
Into the pool of your sweet love
Something inside made me shove
My heart out of it's hiding place
Trying to forget the trace
Of despair others have caused
Making it crawl up and pause
Taking a break for a while
It never liked any style
Of lovers that crossed my path
And pain left in the aftermath
Until it took a little peek
And started to slowly leak
Love that dripped out inch by inch
Not even making a flinch
Of worry that this would end
With heartache and pain again
Soon my heart was full of joy
Since it let a loving boy
In with no regrets at all
Secure and happy--no more wall
Around it to keep this love out
Knowing what real loves about
