Please

It has been 3 days since I’ve heard from you,
an unholy trinity of departure.
Where have you gone? 
Have my sins washed you away? 
Did you finally taste the blood of 
my spattered youth;
the rusting remnants of my shattering canvas? 
I know I don’t deserve you,
                       I even said the words. 
You were insulted;
Said that I should trust
in your ability to know,
that who you choose to
have in your life is your decision.
And I trusted in you, to trust in me.
I still do. 
               ..I still do
                                 ..I still have your name on my lips
I can hear the breath of your heart,
the smile of your words.
Please come back,  
                                 please don’t..
leave.
