Playing Our Song

Still playing our song, Was it “ The way you look tonight?” After all, the yester-years have whirled big time into dizzy roller-coaster spins ... If by romance you mean toes twinkling by the sand, where our feet met in tender July as duskfall melted white when wet kisses sprayed the breeze on trills of vestal wedding chimes... And jealous clouds witnessed this dazzling pirouette for two; eyes touching each other twenty fingers becoming ten in wrapped ball of surrender... That is too sweet to hang on dipping stars, it may as well be romance... but then, the garbage overflows and laundry piling on double racks; while that big time frown turns sleek, after finishing off the house grind... until arms enchantingly come at me to relish " The way you look tonight." ........... Debbie Guzzi's Talk The Talk, Walk The Walk "big time"-- 80s slang meaning" extremely, completely, in a grand way."

Elton John or Frank Sinatra...both ideal for a romantic evening...after house chores are done:) It is up to us to keep the fires burning! hugs / paul

The moments of romance shared as two come to meet. The thought of love intertwined with life forever dancing on the sweet breath of kisses. The deep reality of two people living together, dishes, laundry, cleaning, raising kids, all the mundane moments far from the vision once held.Yet more precious than moonlite skies where two first dreamed brings commitment a jewel polished by fire of years and love that becomes wrapped in forever..my first thought after reading your beautiful poem.
