Planets Before Us
Like a scene
from
an old sci-fi flic
Planers loom before our eyes
Some with rings
Some hot and red
We know that we
are but
a small part of the
universe
But we still dare
to raise our small flags
bravely
In the cosmic wind
There are planets looming
before us
We watch and hope
that their inhabitants
are from an ancient
civilization
Far kinder than
our own
