Plagiarizing a Contest Theme

Happened upon by chance…

The folly that a PS ‘poet’ plagiarized his contest theme, word for word, from an All Poetry poet.

Lin, we know that some people have a sick need for recognition. It seems strange to us that write our own work for pleasure. They will never fill the void they feel through theft. Smiles!

That's a new PS low... to steal someone else's contest theme. Evidently, he doesn't know some PS poets also walk the halls of All Poetry.

Lin, hello, and thank you for shaking the Redwood, because when you shake the tree, you save the forest. From my perspective, that's admirable. All the Smokeys are behind you. However, I believe saving the forest is lost on this site because I even saw a recent POTD that was a 100% percent AI (I used 3 different AI DETECTORS to arrive at this conclusion). These cheats leave a sour taste in my mouth, and so do the administrators who run this site, because essentially, PS is fanning the flames.

Hi Connie. The winds of change have not been kind to the soup and have shaken the tree on its own. I think the forest has been afflicted with something akin to a disease or two. I hate having to agree with all of your comments, but I certainly do.

Plagiarising a contest from another site - that takes the biscuit but then again nothing surprises me any more Lin, plagiarism and AI on soup, sad times indeed that admin haven't the balls to get rid of the offenders - it should not be 3 strikes and we will keep you in !! you know who i mean and to be honest I cant even be bothered to log on these days, hugs jan xx

It’s been as rare for me to visit like you in well over a month, too. There have been too many detrimental things taking place that keep me away. I know those that you mean… repeat offenders who will never admit to being wrong. The soup is ice cold and it’s not meant to be vichyssoise.

Will you confront him? I'd like to know who the plagarists are. Thank you for keeping this problem in view.

I will not name him, but hope he knows it’s been discovered. I’m not spending much time in the soup lately so I’ve made it public knowledge.

Lin, good grief. Maybe they should join the the other plagiarizer(s) on PS and just leave the site. No one wants that here.

Thank you for missing me, Paula. I’m doing ok and you’re right about having an open book to choose one’s own theme without using someone else’s.

Dear Lin, Your Back! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving and respite! It is shameful that anyone would go through all the effort to plagiarize their contest. There is so much to write about in life, and we don't need someone else's work. Welcome Back Again! Autumn Blessings, Dear Lin, Daniel

Hi Daniel and thank you for missing me. I’m still around. I entered that contest in AP so I knew this guy had stolen the contest idea. It really is a shame.

Yep. Not sure what to label it, but it’s pretty sad.
