Pity Party
Another moment of silence for the pity of self you have cloaked yourself in
Deep, sunken eyes from the tears which you've shed
Can't see the trench you have dug in your wake
or the shadow of silence you've swallowed.
Blow up the moon like a luma balloon pinched with two fingers in check
Let it all go like a one woman show
and the pull of the room, the four colored walls
saps all it's strength till it's hollow.
It's a parallel you as you pant till you're blue and cold like the ground in April
Songs in your heart have been shredded apart
as the sadness of self, this unmovable rock
has bled all your oceans sand shallow.
Another moment of silence and we watch as the act falls with tears to the ground
I wish you integrity, a moment of clarity
when perspective of self, of the speck of dust that we are
absorbs all the weep which you wallow...
