Pitch Perfect Dreams

Pitch perfect I hear them say.
Though bullet proof is my heart.
I count my blessings in every way.
Quotes of love on pages of times gone by.
In my dreams, you were always my hero.

                   Did you bewitch me?
Because I thought it was love.
Love thru the ages is what I felt.
Must have been my rose colored glasses.
Thought it was a love to last forever.

You were nothing short of my everything.
In dreams of love, there were no impossibilities.
As the dreams of old come crawling thru me today.
I dream of rainbows and being in love with you.
Now I know our love was only convoluted fantasy.

As a teenager, My mother used to tell me to take my rose colored glasses off and see people how they really are, Of course, I always said: I do see mom. Motherly love :)

Sad ending to a sweet tale! "La vie on rose" - only one way to look at life - a nice way but sometimes heartbreaking. Peace & Love Matthew Anish

Even if it's one-sided, love still can be real. This was powerful & I can deeply relate to this.

It's remarkable that the brain is wired in such a way that these impressions stay with us for decades if not until we leave everything behind. Thank you for letting me know that I am not alone. Your work always seems passionate and real.

Lovely, Debbie...We all get bewitched sometimes.....We are only human...clear the stardust from your eyes....The only perfect thing in this world...is the love we carry in our hearts for the ones we adore! Hugs!

Your guards are truly up...wonder if you're willing and able to love again. Some say that dreams are real. Of course certain dreams that is. I love how I feel your soul through your work. It's captivating!
