Pick Me Up

Can I rest my weary head on you?
There is nowhere else to be
Just hear your heart, hear it to
Beat its steady beat for me

Can we be so quiet here?
There is nothing I can say
No words in me, so much fear
You cannot make it go away

Just be for a while, just be
So I can sleep, not be afraid
Because I know that I'll badly
Need every soothing thing you said

To feel that I am still alive
That I am worth to be around
That I am here with you, I've
Won this time, feel ground.
