Tinkle those ivory keys. Piano man, don’t stop please. We don’t want that hip hop. Play us a jazzy tune. A song to which we can croon And sing about the moon.

Hi Bill, you know these days I have as much fun choosing and or creating the pictures for my poems. Many time I 'alter the pictures, adding or taking away, or adding two pictures to make it one. Glad you liked this one. SV

Beautiful poem, SV. Although I may lack the ability to play the piano, I possess a skill for deciphering the intricate language of music notation. In my formative years, I diligently acquired knowledge of archaic musical instruments and techniques, immersing myself in their rich history. This passion for music is sure to illuminate my twilight years with boundless delight and contentment.

I always find it hard to walk past a piano - even though I cannot really play or read music. It will undoubtedly be a thing that brings me joy into my old-age. You can write piano poetry all day every day for me :)

Hi Sam, glad you liked my lil ditty about the Piano. We had a piano in our home when I was growing up. My dad was self taught but had an ear for music and could play anything after having heard it played once or twice. I on the other hand was tone deaf .lol Music always filled our house.. Mum and Dad loved singing. Thanks for your lovely comment Sam

Reminds me of Billy Joel's first hit - Piano man. "Play us a song you're the piano man, play us a song tonight, cuz we're all in the mood for a (jazzy) melody, and you've got us feeling all right." Nice poem SV (now that song will be in my brain all day lol)

Hello SV. This is such a delightful poem. I love the last two lines in particular, ‘A song to which we can croon/ and sing under the moon’ Gorgeous! I totally agree- I rather have a song you can sing too and remain in your heart as this poem does. Loved it. Hugs and smiles to you my friend. Xx. :):)
