Notes About The Poem

Someone displayed these posters at Saturday's (9/13/25) pro-democracy demonstration. They inspired the AI-generated photo and limerick further below. What does our president really think about? When the President was asked by a reporter how he was holding up regarding the assassination of Charlie Kirk, his repsonse was "I think very good, And by the way, right there, you see all the trucks, they just started construction of the new ballroom for the White House, which is something they've been trying to get, as you know, for about 150 years, and it's going to be a beauty. It'll be an absolutely magnificent structure. And I just see all the trucks. We just started so it'll get done very nicely and it'll be one of the best anywhere in the world, actually. Thank you very much."

His building plans as seen on zoom
Resemble an old Pharoah’s tomb
Though Epstein is dead
Jeffrey's king-sized bed
Makes a grand stage for Trump's ballroom

We are singing from the same hymn sheet i posted one about DT today. the man is just a narcissist and more folk are finally seeing him for what he is and its not about making America great again - the royals put on a show for him but there were protests and pics of him and Epstein shown on the walls of Windsor castle. bet the king was glad it was just a short visit. he will be having the workers doing treble time to ensure his new bestie the king gets to see HIS bigger ballroom! hugs jan x

Its a shame he didnt see the demonstrations and the images of him and others on the castle. they royals certainly shielded him by having him helicopter in and not having the carriage ride outside of the confines of the castle walls. then again he is so narcissistic he would have waved to everyone and thought the crowds were there for him. hugs Jan xx

Jan, our news media covered those projections on the castle. We thought that was a stroke of genius. I will check out what you wrote shortly. There's something very wrong going on inside our president's head. I don't think there's a treatment for it other than prison. Take care and....smiles!!!

Your verse is biting and bold, laced with dark wit and sharp satire. The imagery is vivid, the rhyme tight, and the commentary unmistakably pointed. You wield humor like a scalpel—cutting deep while keeping the rhythm alive. Keep swinging.

Danny, thanks for this comment. I'll be writing as long as I can. Having an opportunity to look at what we're facing with a little humor is a real privilege. We will never let these things take away our inner sense of happiness and joy. Our leaders have no idea what having that sense of self really means. They seem particularly unhappy. Smiles!!

Duke, a great limerick. DT's response to Kirk's assassination made no sense. It shows how narcissistic he is. Who cares about a stupid ballroom. Those Epstein files need to be released.

Tania, the sad part is that the quote is real. He keeps hammering the left because we oppose him. This particular issue is not left or right. Most of us (the sane ones) would love to see violence end. The opportunity to work together and build a consensus is a great source of pleasure that D.T. cannot understand. He has to force everyone to submit to his view. Not a healthy way to live. To me, it's an indication of the unhappy state of affairs deep within our president's heart. This is all a very protective cover to hide the monster he holds inside, and unfortunately it has found a lot of power. Smiles!!

Hi Tom. Really good to hear from you! When I go to demonstrations for democracy each week here, I do carry an American flag (sometimes one in each hand). I can lend you one of mine if you need one! LOL!! The right has tried to brand protestors like me as communist and radical when in fact we are the true believers in the principles of our Declaration of Independence and constitution. We are the true conservatives in this struggle with this administration. If you want to offer him a place to stay for the next few years, feel free! Smiles!!

Thanks Maureen, you're making me smile broadly. Humor is indeed a wonderful thing. If we see craziness, it does help point it out in different ways. Take care and be well!!

- Totally pointless for "ordinary" people ... the cost at $200 million ... maybe he needs to buy new dancing shoes too ... - “I look forward to saying hello to Charles and Camilla,” Trump told NBC New ... what a clown - hugs

Anne-Lise, we're just watching this. His can never satisfy his ego, and he appears unhappy and miserable. No heart whatsoever. I can't imagine a life like that. In reality, we think he has no close friend to talk to and suffers greatly. Only he can change that, but never will.

King Tut hangs on the wall as King Butt pouts at his newest poll showing people are finally getting wise to him. He'll probably replace that painting with another of his own, sitting on a throne... a potty. Always preaching about the money he's saving the country, and then spending it on a ball room, and tearing up the Rose Garden to make it resemble Mar A Lago... America is hurting in so many ways at his grubby hands, and yet he's spending money on whatever pleases his demented highness.

Lin, I couldn't say it any better. It's all really strange stuff that reinforces my impression that we're being led by a deranged narcissist. Smiles, of course.
