Peter's Euology

MY BROTHER, WHY DO YOU LEAVE SO SOON?
YOU HAVE HARDLY HAD THE CHANCE TO GROW OLD
                      AND RECALL OUR CHILDHOOD MEMORIES.
                                         TO LAUGH
                                         TO WEEP
                                      TO ASK, WHY?

WITH YOUR CHILDREN, KRISTOFFER AND BERET
                                  YET AT YOUR SIDE;
                        YOUR MOTHER AND YOUR FATHER,
                   A NEW MARRIAGE, DREAMS UNFULFILLED
AND SONGS UNSUNG, YOU HAVE SLIPPED AWAY
                                    AND I ASK, WHY?

                           THERE ARE NO ANSWERS,
JUST THE HOPE THAT THE WALLS YOU
                          BATTLED HERE ON EARTH,
                      WILL BE THE PASSAGEWAYS
                              TO YOUR DREAMS,
                            FULFILLED IN HEAVEN.

                              GOD BLESS YOU PETER,
                              UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN.

A eulogy for my brother, who died in 1990 at the age of 45. Today 1/28/22 he would have had his 77th birthday.

Pain & Growth, Separation & Love - Jesus mirrored Peters & manyvhynan struggles & weeping. In Matthew 11:35, "Jesus wept" for Lazarus, yet raised him within the same hour! Mystery of His heart. Shortest verse, yet gives me solace. ThanX for sharing, reminding me, us

Indeed there is no answer to the "why" . May he rest in peace.

Hi Victor~so true, the 'why' is really 'it was his time'.....gone 32 years and yet he remains a very vivid memory. As always, thank you for being such an ardent supporter! Hope you are having a nice day. Blessings, Paulette

Thank you Ken. It has been 32 years and sometimes it doesn't seem a reality. Thank you for stopping by to comment. :) Paulette
