Notes About The Poem

Perpetual Poetry

“Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love. It will not lead you astray.” Rumi

Life can be an incomplete glossary,
speech a haunting ghost,
in search of a perspicuous poem -
to express unspoken thoughts.

I remember when she said,

"Cue me poetry"

So, I became her perpetual poet,
engraving sweet soulful words
upon her bitter spiritless lips.

Fate had turned her into the Queen of Darkness,
but my heart glows in the dark.
Together we illuminated like a trillion twinkling stars,
outshining the enigmatic effervescent moon.

Her essence infused a refreshing presence,
like morning sunshine after a night of rain.
Slowly she became a pilgrim of my poetry,
and I, a sojourner lost within her soul.

As I wandered through her secret chapters,
my word weaving revealed her book of scars,
each drop of ink resembling her tepid tears.
Each vexatious verse purified through
a catalyst of catharsis, healed her wounds.

We are like quill and scribe,
vowels complimenting consonants,
completing an impeccable vocabulary -
without her there is no muse.

Ahh, The mysterious Muse. In peoples work I've seen master pieces. And I sometimes ask where did the genious come from? And in my own work it magically appears.

Wow, Silent One, your poetry is very stunning! Love is magical, but it can also be difficult to comprehend. I've realized that love is the most precious gift we can offer and receive, so we should cherish and welcome it whenever it arrives. Your words, as a brilliant poet, are so extraordinary, they enchant and astonish.

"Slowly she became a pilgrim of my poetry, and I, a sojourner lost within her soul." Very beautiful. Love so magical!..and often unpredictable! I have learned to take whatever is offered...for it is the most precious thing we have to give and receive.

You are poetry, you breathe such beautiful captivating words that would leave any reader in awe dear silent one. If this isnt perfection i dont know what is. You’ve used poetic techniques but still made it flow so seamlessly, which is rare and hard to do. I especially love “Together we illuminated like a trillion twinkling stars, outshining the enigmatic effervescent moon.” Impeccable! Imagery depth and word choices here all adds beauty to the emotions expressed. This is another one of my faves

That'll tug the heart strings, neatly outlined with words justifying the R poetic form, nice, Silent One.
