Perpetual
"Not many things are perpetual. Real love, God, and hope in Him are some of the few." by poet
Perpetual means lasting forever.
Not many are the things perpetual.
Relationships often people sever.
It’s tragic, yet it seems eventual
since half of marriages come to an end.
So sad when one has felt love at the core.
For an example, think of a best friend.
You lose touch and then see that friend no more.
Sometimes a great friend can become one’s foe,
and not just people change or go away.
Possessions break; a loved tree dies, and so
for time to go on, we must lose a day.
Therefore, we mate to keep life going on
and hope - in death – we’ll wake to heaven’s dawn.
