Perfidia
sitting there in the cinema
holding his phone
checking his messages
he rotated his upper body
ever so slightly
towards his wife next to him
as if making himself comfortable
angling the screen away
ever so slightly
so that all she could see
was a sliver of glow
an oh-so-subtle movement
that would have been lost
on a casual observer
which
unbeknownst to him
she was not
