no eyes to judge us here
no lips to lie to us here
here is the one place we own freedom.
Yes, I am a poet
it's my species
designed by nature to tell my tales
in words labeled by prose.

lines full of something more
than you can get by living life
poetry is more than just my expression
it's more than just the voice you don't hear
it's more than just my words
I am poetry
and poetry is me.
